Who we are

BoboChat is a country-first dating, friendship, and chat service for adults. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@emarisfreight.name.ng.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use BoboChat, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, password hash, age, gender, country, state or region, city, profile details, photos, interests, messages, likes, friend requests, reports, and subscription history.

When you use location features, your browser or device may provide location information only after permission is requested. If device location is unavailable, we may use country information you select and limited technical information such as IP address to help detect a country or protect the service.

How we use information

• Create and secure your account.
• Show country-based profiles and nearby results.
• Deliver messages, friend requests, likes, compatibility updates, and other notifications.
• Process subscriptions, gifts, renewals, cancellations, and payment support.
• Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent fraud, and protect members.
• Understand usage, referral performance, and site visits so we can improve BoboChat.

What other members can see

Your profile information and photos may be shown to members in your country according to the app features you use. Phone numbers and email addresses are masked in normal browsing and are only revealed under the app's mutual-friend rules. Do not publish information you do not want other members to see.

When we share information

We may use trusted providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, push notifications, analytics, fraud prevention, and payments. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider, such as Paystack, rather than stored as raw card numbers by BoboChat.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect members, to investigate abuse, or to protect BoboChat and its users from fraud or security threats. We do not sell personal information as a product.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the community. We use access controls, password hashing, rate limits, session security, and other reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• Update profile information from your account settings.
• Turn off browser location permission or notification permission at any time.
• Request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, subject to information we must retain for legal or security reasons.
• Report privacy concerns or suspected misuse to info@emarisfreight.name.ng.

Adults only

BoboChat is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. If you believe a child is using the service, report it immediately to info@emarisfreight.name.ng.

Regional privacy rights

BoboChat is designed for use across African countries and may process information across borders through service providers. We aim to respect applicable data-protection rights, including rights provided by the laws that apply to you. Members in Uganda should review the Data Protection and Privacy Act framework; members in Nigeria should review the Nigeria Data Protection Act framework.
